A new camera!

I got  a new camera it is a little red Canon Powershot SX600HS, and so far I am happy with it.  I purchased it with my frequent flyer points - does anyone else do that?  I find it is a much better use of my points than applying it to airline tickets.
I took it outside in the early evening when the wagtail was having its evening bath.

I zoomed right in to get a shot as he flittered about in the weeping tea tree above my head.

I even took a little video.....but for some reason cannot download it here...

  3. Nice photos. My old Canon Powershot just died and I need a new one. Glad to see you're happy with this. I'll wait until I get home to Texas in August to buy one. xo Jenny

Oh I leave the ones with different lenses to others, I am just a quick point and shoot type of gal.

I've never had a Canon before so maybe I should give them a chance this time around.

  10. Good shot. The second photo shows the bird clearly. I'm a Nikon user, so I don;t know much about Canon cameras.

  11. What a great camera to produce these photographs. It must be great to have an all-in-one user friendly camera. Buggar, I just traded my fly buys in for an Ipod docking station for my daughter, but usually get JO frypans. Nice to know this works well. Enjoy!
