A new camera!
I got a new camera it is a little red Canon Powershot SX600HS, and so far I am happy with it. I purchased it with my frequent flyer points - does anyone else do that? I find it is a much better use of my points than applying it to airline tickets.
I took it outside in the early evening when the wagtail was having its evening bath.
I zoomed right in to get a shot as he flittered about in the weeping tea tree above my head.

I even took a little video.....but for some reason cannot download it here...
These are stunning photos. Great.

DeleteYay! A new camera. You got some good shots, I hope you have fun with it in the garden.
ReplyDeleteAlison,
DeleteI had a bit of fun trying to get the photos off the camera!
Nice photos. My old Canon Powershot just died and I need a new one. Glad to see you're happy with this. I'll wait until I get home to Texas in August to buy one. xo Jenny
ReplyDeleteJenny,
DeleteOh I hope mine never dies....
Nothing so nice as a new camera or new lens.
ReplyDeleteJoan,
DeleteOh I leave the ones with different lenses to others, I am just a quick point and shoot type of gal.
Congrats on your new camera.....I am looking for a new one myself, so I'll check this one out as well.
ReplyDeleteI've never had a Canon before so maybe I should give them a chance this time around.
Really great photos....the zoom photo is a great shot.
Virginia,
DeleteYes i was amazed at the zoom, and looking forward to taking photos of butterflies....
Congratulations on the new camera. I love the little wagtails, they are so cheeky.
ReplyDeleteI have loads of frequent flyer points, will have to see what I could buy with them!
Sami,
DeleteYes they have a lovely chatter dont they? I love spending "free" money....
Loving that new camera!
ReplyDeletefrog, yes I am sitll finguring a lot of it out, but it is so small and light and easy to take everywhere.
DeleteI agree with Sami. - delightful, cheeky little birds. Love them. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteLyn,
DeleteThank you and welcome, they are some of my faovurites
Congratulations on the new investment! Who loves Photography knows the joy of having a great machine ... The beautiful pictures prove your success!
ReplyDeleteGood shot. The second photo shows the bird clearly. I'm a Nikon user, so I don;t know much about Canon cameras.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great camera to produce these photographs. It must be great to have an all-in-one user friendly camera. Buggar, I just traded my fly buys in for an Ipod docking station for my daughter, but usually get JO frypans. Nice to know this works well. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh, frequent flyer, not fly buys, still I will have to investigate how many points FF want :D
